I needed a small, inexpensive, good quality, easy to use camera for my work and the Fuji E510 I bought in 2005 just was not cutting it. Fuji has been good for its time, had the capacity manual settings, but was a spectator painfully small and too complicated for my uses which require quickly take good quality images indoors with normal lighting (no Flash is preferred).

I was looking at the Nikon L20/21 's, and then I saw that this new model L24 (Spring 2011) is out.I used it on enough jobs to feel I can fully appreciate its operation and image quality and so far I am very happy.

My work is an independent computer tech and I do a lot of work subcontracted on site for businesses and manufacturers of electronic security services. My main use of this camera is well made, clear indoors before / after photos of various electronic devices and components thereof.My requirements are a large LCD viewer, the ability to use ordinary AA batteries, my settings (date / time, the camera mode) retained after batteries have been removed and replaced, and a quick way to transfer images on my PC that does not rely solely on a USB cable.
