If you think you’re going to struggle paying o ff the interest o n your credit card next month as well as the minimum payment then you need to consider switching your credit card for a 0% interest one for a minimum of 12 months…

There are longer terms you can get, but these often come with a fee based on a percentage of your balance, and that isn’t the idea; the idea is to switch so you only have to make the payments and not the interest.  This can help you get your balance a lot lower, especially if you have a large balance where the interest added was about as much as you could afford to pay back.

After your time is up with that credit card, providing you’ve kept your payments up to date, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with your credit score in order to switch again so that you can get two large lengths of time without paying interest.  I cannot stress this enough though, you cannot spend money on that credit card anymore.  The reason you are doing what you are doing is because you can’t afford the card.  You must wake up and want it to stop.
