MBNA – putting the fee cap back on bt's?
My rule is I never take checks or offers and respond by mail. I always call and negotiate. If they insist on no-max, then I walk. I can say more than half the time, I get success in getting the BT fee waived or the fee is dropped 1 / 3 or more.
The phone is an excellent tool for negotiating win-win. More customers should not be afraid to call and negotiate a better deal than what you get in the mail.
In fact, Chase always encourages me to call to see what they have to offer.The representative actually told me to ignore the e-mail and every time I want to do a BT, just call and "... I'm sure we can work on something that is mutually beneficial "

yep, I do not think very well when tested. I guess they are trying to find a balance between giving as little as possible and people using these offers and have no money at the end of the promo period. Chase tries the same thing, but I still get offers with a ceiling on their part. The MBNA bill pay is by far the value for me to use on job bt shit.
