For Low Interest Credit Cards, as based on a previous survey, the average interest rate on low interest rate cards has declined four basis points to 10.99 percent. A good example of this product is the Capital One Platinum Prestige Card. Their rate is variable with an APR that is set between 10.9 percent and 18.9 percent. The bank offers an introductory rate of zero percent an all purchases and balance transfers until June of 2012. The card also has no annual fee and another added bonus is that the customers are protected from credit card theft.

Meanwhile, for balance transfer cards, the interest rates have increased one basis point to 12.63 percent. The Discover More Card has a variable rate that goes between 11.99 percent and 20.99 percent. It is so far one of the best credit cards on offer, giving customers a zero introductory rate on balance transfers for 24 months.

For Cash Back Credit cards, the average interest rate fell two basis points to 14.70 percent. The Blue Cash from American Express offers 5 percent cash back on every eligible purchase. It has an introductory offer and no annual fee.
