While the rate for Business and Balance Transfer cards has increased, the overall average has decreased. Since February the average credit card interest rate has fallen from 14.35 percent to 14.33 percent.

Business Credit Cards

The average APR for business cards has increased from 13.33 percent to 13.45 percent.

One of the most popular business credit cards is the Ink Cash(SM) Business - $100 Bonus Cash Back card. They offer six months of purchases at zero percent interest. After that the rate is variable between 13.24% - 19.24%. There is no annual fee.

Capital One has been advertising their Capital One® Venture for Business card recently. There is no introductory offer but and the interest rate is 13.9% (variable). There is a $59 annual fee.

Balance Transfer Cards

The average balance transfer credit card rate increased from 12.59 percent to 12.62 percent.

The Discover® More Card, a popular balance transfer card, had an 11.99% - 20.99% variable APR. They are offering a 24 month introductory period. There is no annual fee.

The Capital One® Platinum Prestige Credit Card has an introductory period until May 2012. This applies to both balance transfers and purchases. After that their variable APR starts between 10.9% - 18.9%.

Low Interest Cards

The average low-interest card fell from 11.40 percent to 11.03 percent.

The Chase Freedom® Visa - $50 Bonus Cash Back card offers zero percent on balance transfers for 12 months. Their rate after that is 9.99% - 22.99% variable. There is no annual fee on this card.

American Express, Discover and Mastercard all offer a variety of low-interest credit cards too.
