Glassworks joins Sohonet Media Network
-->In response to the media industry’s shift towards digital media and the rapidly increasing demand for fast and secure data transferral, award-winning post production house, Glassworks, recently installed a 1 Gbit Sohonet fibre line connection to facilitate access to Sohonet’s expanding global media community.
Connection to Sohonet’s high-speed network across Europe, Asia and the Unites States will enable Glassworks to benefit from significantly increased upload and download speeds and more efficient collaboration between its London and Amsterdam offices.

Sohonet is primarily connecting Glassworks’ new Baselight suite in Amsterdam to its existing facilities in London where it houses its Spirit 2K film scanner. The new connection allows Glassworks faster delivery of broadcast files and the instant transferral of its clients’ negative rushes, digitised in London on Spirit 2K and wired instantly as data to its Baselight suite.
