HISTORIAN AWARD-WINNING SPEECH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MOBILE Dr. William J. Cooper Jr., Boyd Professor of History at Louisiana State University, will deliver a lecture entitled "Jefferson Davis and the direction of civil war" in the payment of this year at the University of Mobile Billy G. Hinson Lecture Series. The conference will be held Thursday, March 31 to 19 hours in Moorer Auditorium on the campus of the University of Mobile.The event, which includes the conference, a reception and book signing is free and open to the public.
