A similar situation, but a friend and his wife. I tried to explain, even if their situation has not improved to the point they would like, they need to stop paying interest. as you said, they would benefit from the extent of balance transfer. I think they are afraid that if they added another card, and they use more debt. I understand the fear, and reasoning, but there comes a point where you just stop and take the necessary steps to change your situation. as was the point of many posts here .... the most important part has just begun.I am trying to help them get there, all at the same time not being "that guy."
