Longest-Ever 0% Balance Transfer Credit Card Announced by ...
Barclaycard, one of UK’s largest credit card providers, has announced that it will offer the longest-ever standard 0% balance transfer credit card.
The firm said that the 18-month interest-free period offer comes with a fee of 2.9% of the amount shifted. However, the offer can’t be used to balance transfer between two Barclaycards, consumers must consider other cards if they need a different provider.
Meanwhile, the MBNA Rate For Life card gives 0% on balance transfers of 5.9% for life, plus a 1.5% fee, that is if consumers need longer time to pay off their debt.
Barclaycard also revealed cardholders don’t necessarily need a new card to get cheap credit as it’s possible to play the system and get much cheaper debt by utilizing existing customer balance transfer deals.
